NDIS CORE FUNDING SUPPORT INFORMATION

PLEASE NOTE- This is NOT ART THERAPY.

Effective as of October 3 2024 the NDIS has changed the way Core Funding for support activities operate.

NDIS Art sessions are a confirmed support as per the NDIS guide:

This support item enables a participant to engage in community, social and recreational activities. This can be delivered to individual participants or to groups.

This support category relates to assisting with or supervising a participant to engage in community, social, recreational or economic activities. These supports can be provided in a range of environments, such as in the community or a center.

Participation in community, social and civic activities:
Supports that assist a participant to take part in community, social, cultural and civic
activities.

 

Service Support Item: 04_104_0125_6_1 - Access Community Social and Rec Activities - Weekday Daytime

04_102_0136_6_1 – Direct Support – Non Face To Face Support


This includes:
• supporting participants during relevant activities
• working with participants to develop their ability to partake in these activities.

What this means is that Core Funding is no longer flexible, to be used for any/all unlisted supports.

To access NDIS Funding for our Art sessions, the activity MUST be listed in the participants Core Funding. If activity is not listed under Core Funding, then the session cannot be funded by NDIS. (Note: The activity can be added via a plan amendment.)

Our NDIS Art sessions can be attended by any participant who self funds by direct booking/payment with NDIS Art (please use the contact form below for more details)
